Just toss them in the trash. Any after market ls block is going to be based off of gen 4.

A factory junkyard 05' L33 Aluminum engine will support ~900rwhp for 200,000 miles if setup properly
That engine and its sisters are a dime a dozen currently and one of the best forced induction V8 platforms available to date for one-off hobby installations
I wouldn't even consider aftermarket block unless 1400hp+

Exactly that's the problem and not that hard to cast in from the beginning.
