I recently bought a 2002 convertible. The weather is getting nice and I would like to put the top down. I can undo the 2 latches at the front and when I push the yellow button behind the driver seat the windows go down.
The problem is that the back of the convertible will not top up / release so I can not open the rear hatch and put the convertible down.
Any thoughts are much appreciated.
If the trunk open the release button will not work ,,
If the doors locked and the convertible top down it will not release the back
Check the fuse 17 and relay 41 in the passenger foot well fuse box. , check the release button itself
The trunk is closed and the doors are not locked, when I bush the yellow button I can hear the solenoid in the watherfall doing what I think is trying to unlatch. I will have a look at the fuses.

While you press the button try shaking the back with you hand ..it could be the back get stuck
Is the problem the tonneau cover doesnt come up or are you saying the top doesnt come off the tonneau? To drop the top you lift the front and the rear of the top simultaneously. It sounds like you aren't lifting the top up in the front and back at the same time based on the description
