Default Changing my clutch soon. What else do I need?

I am getting geared up to drop the drivetrain and replace the clutch and rebuild the torque tube in a few weeks. So far I have the clutch, flywheel, clutch and flywheel bolts, slave cylinder/TOB, remote bleeder, RPM input shaft, torque tube bearings, couplers, trans and diff fluids, clutch/brake fluid, locktite, a variety of pilot bearings to make sure I get the right one in there, slave cylinder setup tool and shim kit, shifter bushings, parking brake cables, and upgraded engine rear cover with new rear main seal. I am trying to finish this in 4 or 5 days once I start it so I want to make sure I have everything I am going to need. I also would prefer to not ever do it again. What else should I do while I am doing this job? What is easy to do while the drivetrain is down that would be good to do on a 125k mile 22 year old car? Is there anything prone to breaking during this job?

I didn't see a rear main seal on your list. Definitely one you should add

Good one, but yes I got that and left it off the list. Got the updated rear main seal housing and a billet oil galley barbell as well.

Rear engine plate for sure. I think it was about a hundred bucks.

Not a bad idea at all. I do hate a clutch failure out on the road.

You might add a clutch bleeder line with a SpeedBleeder installed on it:

I already have a remote bleed line but adding a speed bleeder to it would be a good idea. Thank you.

Take your flywheel, clutch, bolts, and alignment tool to an engine builder who can zero balance it all as an assembly beforehand.

If this car has a limited slip diff you should do clutches, belleville washers and axle seals.

Was there a non-limited slip option for the C5?

I'll have to see if I can find somewhere. I am not aware of anywhere around that does it. Not a bad idea though

Anyone else have any other ideas? I got new axle nuts so I don't have to re-use those. There must be something.

Finished the clutch swap today. I didn't find myself missing any parts I should have had.

I did develop a vibration and whining noise from the rear end. I hope it's because I added a sac city diff mount and not because I damaged something. I am going to swarp the stock diff mount back in and see what that does.

Did you find the source of the vibration?

I am curious since I'm about to do the same job, how many of the flex joints are there? I was expecting one on either end but looking up the parts on Rock Auto, they only list one.

Also getting ready to do this to a 120k mile C5Z. How much did everything run you in total? And did you do it all yourself?

What are folks liking for the rear engine plate now? I know C&S likes the Dorman, but I'm leery of the brand.
I believe there is an updated GM part #, but I'm unsure of what it is

Why are we replacing the entire rear cover? Genuinely curious.. I just knocked my old seal out and replaced it with a new one.

For starters, the price on a whole cover isn't bad.
GM updated the cover (improvements). One of those is bigger heads for the bolts, which are included. Can't remember the others but some internet searching ought to yield useful results.
