03-06 Escalade Starter

Short story: have to replace the OEM starter on my '04 Vert. Forum reading suggested using a 03-06 escalade starter (built for a high-compression 6.0), as they have two long bolts instead of one short, one long.
Seems there have been issues with the block cracking.
So, I purchased a GM 3371033 for a 03-06 escalade.
Received starter today and quite surprised to find that it is like a mini-starter; about half the weight of the OEM starter.
For those of you that have used this starter, did I get the correct one?

I have the new starter installed with no problems. Will be awhile before I try it out.

So "installed with no problems" in this case means it did bolt into position but has not yet been tested?

Yep, that is what I meant. Installed with no problems......jury still out as to whether it works or not.

Came with no shims and I did not remove any shims; so hopefully the teeth engagement is fine. The new starter snout is a bit different.

Tried out the starter today, turned the engine over fine, no problems at all. Did this several times.

I use the starter from a newer LT truck. The starter for the c7 also works very well.
