Default leaking battery

Hi, I have a black 99 FRC. The weather was nice today so I decided to take it out. I noticed on the carpet some dried battery acid. Sure enough the AC Delco was leaking. I cleaned up everything and all seems to be fine. I put in new battery. Anything else I should do or look for? Thanks! :mad

Take a flash light and look down near the frame for any acid that dripped on the wires or computer. I'd definately flush it out down their with baking soda and water to be safe. Was it a stock battery that leaked?

Look below the battery (computer)
look at the frame
Did you get a glassmat or optima
I changed the battery in the 2k just from the stories I read on here.

Baking soda will neutralize the battery acid. Water will hopefully wash away any residue.

Mine battery leaked also. You should check the battery cable and the bolts for corrosion and replace if necessary. I removed the passenger front wheel and the inner fender liner and found a lot more acid than I could see from the top. I ended up pulling the PCM and cleaning everything with battery acid neutralizer and flushing with water. It was a mess and took about 3 hours.
