2001 C5 LS1 Automatic
Replace radiator with Dewitt’s 32-1139101A and I am having clearance issues with the trans cooler lines and sway bar. I replaced the radiator support bushing with a new one. Still have clearance issues.
l have auto 03 when l upgrade the sway bar to C6 z06 l notice the same thing happening cooler line barely hitting the sway bar . ..l just end up putting piece rubber around the area where is hitting .. the cooler line can be bending but it's need special tool for that ... Unless you will break the pipe if you do it with your hand ..
Hmmm... I have had a Doug Dewitt's direct fit in my 2004 C5 Z51 coupe with an A4 since 2006. I also have Hotchkis sway bars under both front and back.
I did not have any problems when it was installed over the stock sway bars.
Several months after installing the Dewitt's radiator the new sway bars went in.
I have not had any problems with it. I know this post is not a solution for you, but it does demonstrate that it should work.
FYI, in 2004 the Z51 option included the same front sway bar that was on the ZO6.
