ok i'm gonna stay on this project until it's solved. mine went on the blink last year. 50k mileage. read a lot of post and you-tube stuff. hard to get solid info on this topic anymore. salvage yard IPC seems to be the best fix. found a place in Michigan that seems ready to fix it. I want my original IPC fixed. if you get a salvaged one your stuck with it's mileage. i bought a 98 IPC a few weeks ago to start on this project. although I won't start on this (IPC removal) till this fall. i'll start by switching DIC harness to see if that works. replacing DIC buttons seems to be a crap shoot. have read where they did not help many times. exchanged a few e-mails with a fella that said most of the fix that he saw was the DIC harness. he said the DIC buttons are a pretty stout piece. saw and read where you can replace the eeproms from one to the other. some soldering required,they say that's where the odometer readings is kept. that way you can have your original mileage. fuse and ground checks have been done. anyway any info on this topic would be very much welcome as I know this is a problem as much as the dim HVAC light which I fixed a couple years ago. I just like to have my stuff work. I know there forum members on here that know their stuff on this topic. Thanks Denny
