Ringing at +4k RPM
Hi everyone, new to this forums. I have a 2001 and have owned it for about 9 months now. I'm having a new issue where when my engine RPMs are 4k or higher, I hear a ringing sound from the engine bay. It only happens when warm, clutch in, clutch out, at speed, or stopped, it happens regardless. I thought it was the serpentine belt tensioner, so I replaced that with ACDelco replacement which solved it for maybe 2 miles, but now its occasional. Does anyone have any clue what this could be? Maybe the serpentine belt idler? I'm hoping its not something like my alternator but if it is oh well. I can try getting a video if needed, don't know if this forums supports that though.

The only thing on the front of the engine I can think of that could ring would be the bell shaped pulley on the water pump, but I would expect that to be dampened by the belt.
Squeals and whistles might have other sources and could be described as ringing, I suppose.
