do i need a new crankshaft? just pulled my motor to replace the rear main seal as it was leaking and after i get it all torn down i see the teeth on what im pretty sure would be the crankshaft are completely broken. do i need a whole new crankshaft or is this a seperate piece? never had to deal with this before so i apologize if this is a stupid question. also sorry if the pics aren’t very clear but trust me the teeth are gone

That is your clutch pilot bearing. Totally replaceable.

Not a big deal.

Use the appropriate puller on an LS engine you DO NOT do the bread or grease trick.

You'll be fixed up in no time. Make sure the input shaft of the the torque tube is ok.

If that is the crank shaft then it looks like that is the pilot bushing which is replaceable

Yes to the pilot bearing. Not really a bushing. It looks to be a caged roller/needle bearing......
