Whining sound
I have a 04 C5 with 61k miles and this sound is haunting me it’s hard to pinpoint where it is coming from exactly it’s constant and doesn’t get louder or lower or faster just stays constant sometimes for a split second it dips but never stops does anyone have any info

So it's probably not related to engine speed or drive line, is it inside the car or engine bay? This kind of problem is very difficult to diagnose by just viewing a video, and we would just be guessing unless someone has had this same problem.

yes that’s why I’m hoping maybe someone knows I have tried to follow the sound but it’s like it’s coming from the middle of the vehicle and that’s just a guess it’s so odd

I also have an 04 with a high pitched noise, but yours sounds a bit louder. Not sure if ur phone camera is just better than my ears at picking up the noise lol.
With the car on, walk around and see if you can identify where the noise is coming from. Mine seems to be coming from underneath the car a bit between the middle and the rear of the car. If yours sounds like it is in the same spot then we may have the same issue. I think it is the fuel pump, which other people also say has a whine. Only issue is that the 04 model C5 has the fuel pump inside the tank, and its a bit of a hassle to do the job yourself.
