I'm in need of some sticky tires for my rears. I have 18x10.5 rims, and I was really wanting some DR's, but apparently no one makes them for 18's.
So what do you guys suggest for 18" rims? I really need some sticky tires, these 4.10's just cook my runflats. I'm not going to buy 17's are anything like that, so no "get ZR1 rim's" or anything like that. Just want input on the 18" rim. Thanks....
I just checked tiresonline.com and they have them for $311, is that a pretty good price? I tried to check the tirerack, but their damn website sucks, and I can't just type in the size and stuff that I want to see. I even tried using the ZO6 selection and it says "click see all to view all choices." No where on the damn screen was there a "view all" button to click :mad Someone needs to redo that site!!
I bought my kd's thru tire rack and my 275-17/295-18 were about 1200. Go to the site and call the 800 number . I couldn't figure how to order online either! Not a very user-friendly site!!!! But 4 days later---ups to the rescue!! :chevy :chevy
When you go to the tirerack site, just click on the link that says "search for your tire size". The plug in your size, and it lists all the brands available in that size.
Assuming you're looking for a 295/35/18, tirerack's price is $345 for the BFG g-force KD, so $311 sounds like a good deal.

Re: I Need Tire Help...!! (GmasterB)
I have'nt used Kuhmo's myself but in looking at the tread wear rating it seems a bit lower than the others out there so I'm thinking maybe a good bit softer rubber compound.
The latest Car and Driver tests the Kunhos against Kds and the new yoko AVS--The kumhos finished only seconds (2-3) behind the KDs in the dry test and first in the wet test where the KDs were behind them. They are very cheap compared to the ones they beat.
Treadwear rating is a big factor on how soft the tire is. Here are some of the lowest treadwear rating tires(which means they are softer and wear faster).
Bridgestone S02 (NOT S03) (also discontinued but they still have them in stock)
Yoko AVS Sport
BFG KD
I just tubbed my car and have a set of the KD's with less than 2000 miles on them, 295 rear, 275 fronts mounted on 2002 Z06 rims complete with caps and sensors if you interested. Send me an email, bpschmidt@comcast.net.
