Looking at a 2004 C5Z Le Mans w/70k. The intake hose does not appear to be OEM and also not the shifter **** (don't know about the shifter linkage). What would be the most common reasons to change these? Suggestions on other things to look for?
It's pretty common to change both of those. People think the claims of air intake system manufacturers have some basis in reality so they spend $30-$350 and their butt dyno tells them it was worth it. There are at least dozens of options for different *****. Some just decorative, some with extra weight to put extra stress on the shift box and transmission.
Just assume you're going to have to spend at least a few hundred undoing crap you don't want on your car and use that as a bargaining point. Then advertise the stuff here as 'never used(by me)' and sell it for big bux.
