04 Lemans base-novice- 2nd owner. So I changed out the plugs, coils and wires.All oem except I used msd wires. Engine now has an unsettled idle and a shaking. It was smoother before I tinkered. Sometimes engine would exhibit a miss but overall engine gave smooth performance. Now I am afraid to drive it fearing limp mode or shutdown away from home. What could I have dowrong?
You probably didn't get one of the wires snapped into place all the way. Especially if the boot grease didn't quite get where it should have. They can pop off even if they did get snapped into position.
You can try starting it in a dark garage, maybe you will get lucky and see an errant spark.
A thermal camera or possibly a laser thermometer might tell you which cylinder isn't putting out as much hot exhaust, that would be a clue which cylinder is missing.
