I have read of occasional issues with the LPE 58× to 24x conversion box. Not many, maybe 2 or 3 at most over nearly 20 years. Perhaps you could send the box to LPE and have them check it? I did what you did on your first LS3, that being I had a 24x wheel installed when I put my LS7 in my C5, so I can't offer any help other than my one suggestion above. Best of luck.....
Today, I measured the machined surface to the wheel. I gave my measurements to my buddy who knows the desired dimension. I am happy to say that the distance is spot on!
That leaves me with a couple things.
1) there is something wrong with both boxes
2) my computer doesn't like what the boxes are sending to it
3) this is the best one, my 58x block is good to go and I can have it with a 24x reluctor next week, and start the motor swap again, then I can finally go through my 24x motor and freshen it up as spare.
The block machined surface to the reluctor wheel is spot on. So, I pulled the crank out of the crate motor and will have s 24x reluctor installed next week. All should be good.
I will be sending in the two boxes to be tested at Lingenfelter, results to follow. I will say, the person at Lingenfelter that I have been trouble shooting with has been helpful when he can and easy to deal with.

IMHO, LPE is one of the top 2 or 3 shops in the world. I've never been disappointed with anything I've bought from them. No one will ever say their stuff is cheap. But you usually get what you pay for...
I agree, if you notice I have not spoken I'll about anyone in my post, and honestly, I have no such plans to. I just want to know the final answer, that's it. I will post what findings I get in hopes it will help someone else down the line.
I'm in the process of removing the motor as I write this. I dropped the 58x crank off earlier this morning at Performance Engineering, they are the ones who swapped my last 58x for me, so I know I can trust their work. The new Coyles cam gear and chain set arrived this morning.
