Hello i’m new here and i bought my 97 vette aug last yr and i have had problems with the DIC that works intermittently when bought it no error lights on the dash etc and the switch bothers me that it doesn’t work so i can see things like fuel or oil press etc
. like around few months after i bought it i bought ipc installed and the dic switch worked well but the ipc shows me the airbag light on after it blinks scanned it with a obd scanner no codes for it so what else can i do to have that light off? Thanks

That's your problem. The SIR components changed in 1999, and the airbag light is controlled differently in a 97-98 IPC. The light is controlled in a 1997-98 by the SDM providing a ground. The SDM changed in 1999, and the light is controlled via class 2 serial buss. The SDM in a 1997-1998 is not even connected to the class to serial buss.
