@IronMaidens2.0 Don't have a FI motor, but do have a 600chp built LS7 in a 2000 A4 C5 vert. My trans has held up great. 25 year old original trans. Many 1/4 mile passes, probably between 30-40 passes. My car has 145,000 miles on it. All I've ever done to the trans is change the fluid and filter@100,000 miles. I did this myself. I also have a 3,200rpm stall Yank converter. My experience has definitely been the exception. DO NOT expect your trans to hold up like mine. I have been very lucky, have run only 200 treadwear tires (no slicks/cheater slicks), and probably got an exceptionally great trans right from GM. I also installed a B&M trans cooler, #10264. DO NOT install a shift kit in an otherwise stock 4L60E. DO NOT let a tuner eliminate torque management. I believe stock setting is 450lb/ft. My tuner raised my TM to (IIRC!) 1,000lb/ft. It has worked well for me. If you run sticky tires on a prepped track, you'll probably blow the trans up. That's all I can say.....

I hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but 21-28 year old cars, beat on, modded, etc…. I think we’re all on borrowed time with the 4L60E, even @grinder11 . Some of ours has just lasted longer than others. Did grinder try the drag radials yet. I tried mine in Mexico, just some launches, no times, but it felt pretty good. And nothing broke. 😃

No, Beast, I have not run DRs yet. Probably won't. Just installed new 315-30-18 Michelin PS2s. 220 tread wear. I figure running a trans with 145,000 miles on it, with an extra 250hp, and adding DRs would be a recipe for disaster. I don't like tempting fate, lol!!
