Default Newer style C7 starter install

My original starter went out, I had rebuild it once before, but decided to try the GenV starter this rounds, you'll need the pigtail, it's uses two long bolts, there's also optional heatshield. I had to modify it a bit for my combo. It's smaller in size, with higher cranking rpm. I also added a DEI mini wrap.

I take it you've got some kind of turbo setup? Curious how the heatshield and starter fit on N/A cars with Longtubes or stock manifolds.

Looks good though, with the higher rpm have you noticed the car starting faster or any other improvements?

Yes I'm turbo, so I have much less clearances down there. I don't see it being an issue on an n/a configuration, it's easy to bend and snip anyway.
it's already physically smaller to begin with, and yes it does crank/start faster

Thanks for posting that, Agim. If my oem starter ever takes a dump, one of those units will be replacing it.

This is a great alternative and likely my "go to" starter replacement solution. Thanks for posting !
