Default Dyno Tune Question

I've got another question for you guys here. I was wanting to get my car dynoed and I'm about three hours from CERRA so I gave them a call and asked some questions and I'm thinking about getting the car tuned with LS1 edit because I've heard all you guys talking about it. I was told that for about $600 bucks I could get between 40 and 70 clean H.P. Has anyone had these type of gains and did you see a difference in the car after spending the money. Thank you.

What modifications have you done to your car? If it is stock you wont see much if any gains. If you just installed a S/C with a heads and cam combo.. 40 to 70 RWHP can be had with dyno tuning.

I'm sorry my mistake, the car has shorty headers, B&B exhaust, no cats, cold air, larger mass body and TNT nitrous

If I was running a large shot of NOS, I would want to get a dyno tune "while using the NOS at WOT) just to be sure the computer was set up correctly.

This summer I'm bumping up to the 150 shot, are you saying there is no benefit of doing the LS! Edit except to see if the computer is accepting the nitrous WOT and not damaging anything. Will I not experienceany gains at all?

On a stock car LS1 Edit is not going to gain you anything. Put some big mods on your car and LS1 edit will allow you to gain what the computer will not adjust for. That is provided you know exactly what you are doing with the program. The problem with NOS is you will need to know if the car is running lean or not. If it runs lean, you can kiss some pistons goodbye. LS1 edit will not tell you those things, you will need to use scanning software on a laptop or an O2 sensor on a chasis dyno.
