Tensioner Pulley Squeaking
I am posting this in the C5 thread since it is a 2002 Corvette engine in a 1975. I have essentially the CTS-V serpentine belt routing with the tensioner on the upper passenger side. When I first started running the car I heard a squeak and discovered it was the tensioner pulley. I replaced it and the squeak went away, but now it has come back. I measured for the belt before I bought it and I think it may be a bit smaller than optimal and may be putting more force on the tensioner than is necessary, or it may be that I am unlucky with tensioners. I am thinking of getting a slightly larger belt and new tensioner and replacing both, is there a known good (probably OEM?!?) tensioner that I should get?
Thanks,
