Good evening. My right muffler is sagging. The hangers are still attached but the muffler is bouncing and the hangers are sliding over the muffler. I've looked at other threads but they are several years old. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to fix the support. I bought new bolts from Corvette Central but now am wondering if there is more work involved based on other comments of losing parts in the bumper, having to drill holes, etc.. Thanks in advance for any advice as always!

I just replace my 47k mile pipe/muffler assembly and had a good look at the muffler hangers. The rubber was in great shape and the muffler tab slide right in. Can you post some pictures that show the problem you describe above. Sounds like the rubber mounts that are secured by the metal hang brackets needs to be replaced. See if Corvette Central has a schematic for the hanger bracket assembly. Note there is a reinforcement bracket of some sort.
I ordered the reinforcement but not the hanger itself. I'm going to have my local garage look at it today to be sure and then order the hanger if necessary. I'll also try and take pics later on.
