Convertible hatch
I disconnected the battery in my 2001 convertible. when I reconnected the battery my button to open the convertible hatch doesn’t work. Each time I push the button I get a beep. Why would disconnecting the battery cause this and how do I manually open the hatch?
I found that the hatch won’t release if trunk is open.

Well its been a long time since I had my C5 Vert but I think there is a small button behind the drivers seat on the tonau that will open it. Perchance is your trunk lid not down all the way, that will prevent the Tonau from opening!
