With my DIC, Driver Information Center, on my '99 coupe set to scroll through the Guages mode, the display showed the following two (2) messages after driving about 100 miles in 25 degree, dry, weather:
First message: "Service Tire Pressure Monitor System"
Second Message (about 5 minutes after the first): Rear L XXX R 32 psi
What would L XXX mean?
I checked for a "flat" in the Michelin Pilot Sport Run Flats...No problems.
after about 5-10 minutes, the display read Rear L 31 psi R 32 psi
Left wheel sensor is acting up. Might be going bad or maybe because of the cold. Keep an eye on it. When it permanantly stops reading the pressure in that wheel (XXX) replace it.
The sensor is bad or has dirt plugging up the hole! This happened on mine and after dismounting the tire and blowing air in the sensor to clean the dirt out the problem went away.
