Default c5 1999 - ABS Unit repair?

Hello everyone!
My name is Rami, I live in the north of Germany. I hope you are doing well!
I have a 1999 C5 and my ABS module is not working. The part number is 09356971.
This should be the problem: Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module (EBTCM) internal malfunction (ABS/TCS disabled)

Can someone repair this parts? Or does someone know what I can do about this? This would be great!!

Best regards,
Rami

Last year they said there may be repairs depending on the failure code.

If it's C1255 or C1256, it most likely cannot be repaired.

Default What can I do?

Thanks for your help and the messages!! I will try to contact them, unfortunately the Code shows C1 255. What can I do if the part is not repairable?
Thanks a lot!

If it not repairable you will still have regular brakes just no ABS and you'll have the light on

Nothing, 1255 on a 1999 its dead. If you Buy used there is no guarantee 1k to 2k used I went through this. If ur not comfortable driving a car without abs you have to sell it. There's no other way around it. Or buy used and hope for the best. Hope u dont live in a state that your car has safety checks every 2yrs to get registered.

^ I mean.... that's a pretty catastrophized statement. You can retrofit many types of ABS to the car if you'd like. BMW Mk60 and Mustang S197 if you're shopping at a junkyard. Bosch and Motec make motorsports level ABS systems too

There are some universal ABS systems I see advertised on Facebook from time to time

You have options, and not all of them include selling the car

Can you please provide a link to any of the easily retrofitted systems you mentioned into a C5? I'd like to read more about this.

I recently started getting c1225, c1226, and c1232 codes. A couple of other ones also, but can't remember them all. One that I don't remember is one that said the RRWSS was a problem. The other codes were for the left and right front WSS. It is hard for me to believe that all of my WSS's are taking a dump at the same time. Also hard to believe that they all suddenly have connection issues. One code I do remember coming up, and it only came up once, and was an "H" code, was the dreaded C1255 code. It only came up once, as a history code, and I haven't seen it again since. But virtually every time I drive the car, the WSS codes come up. I'm thinking the EBTCM is junk. Anyone have these codes where it turned out to be only the WSS's? Thank you, and not meant to hijack, as this is relative to the OPs situation.....
