I’m currently writing this at work so there very well may be a thread already addressing this issue and I just haven’t scrolled far enough, but I’m getting a message to service the systems above. It isn’t a consistent message. I’ve only owned my 02 z06 for a few weeks and I’ve had the message appear a total of 3 times so far. However, I am getting a message to service vehicle soon every time I get in the car. From the small amount of looking around I’ve done so far it seems other people tend to have an ABS message pop up with it as well, but I have not. Only my traction control light illuminates. I’m not sure if these details matter, but when it came on today I was outside for a break at work and it’s about 34 degrees out. I checked the codes and the only “current” one is a b0432 which seems to be unrelated to the issue. I’m sure it’ll disappear when I start it next, just like it did last time. If anyone has any ideas on what the issue could be, or any advice on what preventative measures I could take to avoid any further problems it would be appreciated.

ALWAYS POST ALL YOUR CODES......historical and current.
Please see the attached file and choose which messages you see on the DIC.

The DIC warning messages I have displayed are Service Traction System and Service Active Handling.
I just got off work and when leaving those messages were displayed again as well as the traction control light being illuminated on the dash. I can run the actual codes again tomorrow, I didn’t think to do it before getting inside. Could temperature possibly affect it? I only ask because I got gas on my way home and once I turned the car back on the messaged didn’t show up again. They’ve also never shown up while driving, it’s just when the car is first started that they either appear.. or they don’t. It’s very inconsistent. And I forget if I mentioned it before, but there’s also a “Service Vehicle Soon” message that appears every single time I start the car
If there are no ABS/TC fault codes when you're checking, yet you get those messages, then you're checking for codes at the wrong time. Gotta check for faults after the message appears, before turning the car off. Once you turn the car off the codes can sometimes disappear (not all of them, of course).
How is the battery? These cars do weird things when their batteries get low. And by low I mean first crank of the day in cold weather.
These two systems get tested first thing every time you start the car.
Take it somewhere that can load test the battery.
I get between 3 and 5 years out of good branded lead-acid batteries. After that it's touch and go.

There’s an O’Reillys right up the road from my place so I’ll take it up there this weekend. I’m also gonna see if there’s any issue with the grounds since it seems to be a common issue with these. Cold weather does seem to be the culprit though since I had the issue twice last night, but when I started it this morning (it sits in a garage when I’m home) it was completely fine minus the typical “Service Vehicle Soon” message
If it turns out to be an alternator issue make sure you keep your original. There is a feature described in one of the sticky posts that many of the replacements don't have and they will work but show a fault.
