LS6 weird rear main seal

LS6 weird rear main seal
Hey everyone, I'm resealing my LS6 while I have the motor out. I bought an OEM GM 12639250 rear cover. The very inner portion of the seal looked odd. It is more like a circular flap. It fit tight tho. Has anyone recently seen this? Or is it a bad seal?
I'm putting the motor in this weekend so I want to make sure it's correct. Because it's so easy to replace. (Heavy sarcasm)
