Default No mufflers but not straight piped

I just bought a C5 and I was checking out the exhaust and realized that there are no mufflers there. But the pipe is not straight it goes in and curves around where the mufflers would have been and then kick out with four oval tips. Just curious as to what this would be. Any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks

I think the only thing I'm truly disappointed in is somebody went to all the trouble to build that and then put the godawful stock tips back on there.

Well from the other thread some people would cram a truck 4.8l in there. Same hillbilly that did that exhaust work.

If that drone is bothering you I can sell you a corsa axleback to fix that.

Definitely a custom muffler delete you have on there. Looks like it's been on there for a while at least it's been surviving!

It was done to get around the rear compartment and to reach the rear hangers via those flat pieces going upwards welded to the pipes.
