Is there anyone here who leaves their lifting pucks in at all times? If so, what brand and where did you buy them? I need to buy 4 new ones. I made up some nice ones in the Toolroom before I retired. But last October, around 5:00A.M. just N of Cincinnati, Ohio, I hit something on I-75 Southbound. Never saw it. Did some damage underneath the car. Damn lowlifes who do **** like this shouldn't even be hauling an empty trailer, much less a loaded one!! This encounter also resulted in ripping one of my "permanent" pucks right out of the undercarriage. Since it was a custom machined item, I'll have to replace all 4 so the vehicle sits level on my lift. Any suggestions? Thanks, guys......

I remember seeing snap-in plastic ones years ago. I have machined pucks, but never considered leaving them in all the time. I always carried one in my rear storage just in case I had to get one wheel off the ground for a repair.
When I bought my car it came with those snap-in plastic jack pucks, I guess they work but haven't used them, and they stay in the hole okay, although I would wish them to be taller.
But, when I made up my travel spare tire kit and got a scissor jack to go with it, I fixed up a stud in the lift cradle of the jack to stick up in the factory hole at the jack point, so if I jack the car up with that, I will have to take the pucks out of the holes.
Now, as to where to get those snap-in pucks, never searched for them so don't know of a source.
But, there are lots of ready made choices on the market for aluminum ones.

My new set of leave-in plastic ones are arriving soon. I looked at the aluminum ones but I have reservations.
I made a long rail out of 3/4" x 1.5" aluminum for each side with the leading edges tapered up, they've held up very well for a lot of miles and 18 years. There are commercial ones for a C5, https://www.c6performance.net/catalo...-p-485788.html.
I went with chinesium CNC machined anodized aluminum from Amazon. Ludicrously inexpensive, and slightly guilty, but well made and holding in place quite well:

ZL1 ADDONS. I purchased these several years ago. A bit of blue Loctite on the fasteners and they've stayed in place for many track days. They work great with the Quickjack too.
I have had my on since 2004, back then they only ones that fit were BMW 36 series pucks of a hard rubber compound. I autocross and HPDE my car and change tires/wheels brake pads/oil thousands of times since jacking up on those pucks. They are still on the car
I just use a piece of 2x4 wood to keep the jack stands from marring the paint on the frame. Racing jack just goes in raw because there is no room to put anything in between. Car scrapes over everything anyways ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
