As everyone knows, headlights of this car must be equipped with halogen lamps of the original HB4/9006 standard.
However, the former owner changed it to the HID xenon lamp. (This is illegal in Korea..)
Fortunately, I passed the test safely, but the problem is that one side of the HID is no longer turn on.
To solve this problem, I have replaced two xenon lamps and replaced the ballata.
When the xenon lamp was replaced twice times, all lamps did not light up, and the last time the ballata was replaced, the lamps blinking. I think it's because there's not enough current.
Now I will not touch any other parts anymore. This is because it is difficult to find the wiring of how the former car owner converted it into an HID lamp.
So I would like to use the bracket of the existing HID lamp to change only the inner lamp to LED.
I will remove the existing D1S lamps and ballatars and connect the LED lamps directly to the 9006 socket.
Is there a problem that could happen if I did this?
The HID ballasts are not required for normal bulbs. You can unplug them and then reconnect the factory plugs to the new LED bulbs (the ballasts installed in between the two) and be working like normal instantly.

P. S. - thank you for Soju.
I think Bourbon is way better than Soju haha. Thank you!
My LED light bulbs have arrived. They are directly connected to the lamp line and confirmed that it worked.
And I cut off the messy HID harness that was left.
But there are two more problems.
1. If I turn off the light, the eyes don't go down. When I turn on the high beam(only push case), those eyes going down.
2. It also blinks when all lights are turned off.
I temporarily disconnected the battery power. I think I should probably buy decoders.
What a coincidence buddy just did this. He had hid for 15yrs. They were the **** back in the day. Replaced with LEDS WOW what a difference your going to be very happy. But he had to readjust the angles where the beams focused Wired problem, My buddy had zero issues except he can see the whole road 10 times further. And the high beams are crazy bright.
Another positive they come on instantly not like the HID that needed to warm up before full bright.

I made the LED switch a while back. Someone on the forum recently basically poo-poo'd the suggestion of using them and opted for basically Sylvania bulbs form the 99s based on some guy's 'professional' suggestion who was a former actor. I bit my tongue and walked away.

Depends on the retrofit light and the housing. Some work OK and others results in driving around with the equivalent of having really bright high beams on all the time. I have seen many people post that their new low beams were way better than the high beams even on their other cars, which simply shows that their "low" beam is blasting light like a high beam. Just because the little blue light is out doesn't mean you're not blinding oncoming traffic.

Yes, sorry forgot to mention that the headlights won't go down as normal with the led bulbs. They make a specific resistor kit (which is what I use) and you only need 1 total not per side. Not sure if the seller can ship to Korea but I would think he could do that as he has customers all over the world. Let me know if you'd like the link information.
Thank you for your valuable experiences and helpful answers.
I'm still testing the current phase.
My car's LED headlights are causing a current malfunction.
Issues 1 (headlights not going down) and 2 (flickering) have been resolved without any additional maintenance, but intermittently, only the left headlight don't go down and the headlight gear spinned.
*The headlight gear issue is a separate issue and should probably be replaced with a brass gear.
Since I don't drive my car very often, it will take some time for further road tests. I promise that once I've finalized this issue, I'll write a comprehensive guide on converting from HID to LED. (It would be a simple exchange...)
I have a question.
The power button on my car's radio is not working, so it's always on or off. Fortunately, it was always on before I disconnected the battery, but after I disconneted the battery, it switched to off. Is there any way to turn the radio on? (perhaps, just insert a CD?)

Just saying, buddy just went to LED'S from HID's without issues. Could be faulty LED's

Is that so? There is no problem so far.
After read your text, I have a lot to think about.
I knew that the halogen lamps are 50w, so I replaced it with 50w led lamps. 🥲

It looks like those LEDs have a large box hangong off of the wiring. How did you secure those boxes?
Are you concerned about the retractable headlight mechanism wearing prematurely due to the extra weight of those boxes?
Thanks
