Default Manual wiring harness part number

Hi all, was wondering if anyone here happens to know what the part number is for a 1997-1998 manual rear ABS non f45 transmission harness is? Wasn't able to find definitive answers online, thanks

i have, but im getting a bit of conflicting information here is the info i got from the PDF manual:
REAR ABS:
97 EXC F45 12163196
97 F45 12163706

98 (EXC F45, JAG, VD1) 12163196
98 F45, (EXC JAG, VD1) 12163706
98 F45, VD1 (EXC JAG) (EXPORT) 12189908
98 VD1 (EXC F45, JAG) (EXPORT) 12189909

but i am also seeing 12189908 and 12189909 as front mounted ABS harnesses (i need rear). also whats the difference in the harness between a export and non export (CODE VD1)

Hopefully others will chime in with more knowledge, but the way I read it, if it’s a ‘97 then it’s 12163916, since all ‘97s have rear mount EBCM, and no export models. If it’s an early ‘98 non-export it’s 12163791, and an export early ‘98 would be 12189913 (export harnesses listed at the end of the item 6 column).

They run the same as far as the car is concerned. Without an F45 computer in the trunk it is not going to load the settings into the ebcm and the harness works as normal. Feel free to cut and cap the unused F45 wires.

But the 12189909 is an (EXC F45, JAG) (EXPORT), which indicates it doesn’t have provisions for the rear mount ABS.

I missed the requirement of rear abs.

Another option here would be to get any other harness as stated if that is the need, and then wire or make a separate harness line for the Abs unit.

what makes you say 12189909 isn't a rear mounted ABS?

As I read it, (EXC F45, JAG) (EXPORT) indicates “except F45 and JAG”, and “including Export provisions”

Hmmm. How are you interpreting the RPO "JAG" ?

For 1998 MY production starting on December 15th, the RPO JAG is for moving the EBTCM to the front of the car.

this is so confusing haha, in the manual it says JAG is in the rear by the looks of it but so do other EXC JAG models, able to clarify exactly what it means?
thanks for the help!

That is what I captured in my notes at the corvette 50th.

Ok....what does your RPO sticker indicate?

JAG isn't listed, it looks to be JAG just refers to the ABS module being mounted in the front, EXC JAG just seems to mean its mounted in the rear. 97 all were mounted in the rear and the RPO codes in the manual dont specify that its a EXC JAG then though it technically is. Still trying to figure out if p/n 12189909 will be a suitable replacement for 12163196 (manual transmission harness) both seem to be identical besides 12189909 is for European export (VD1) i cant see why their would be a difference but in saying that why have 2 different part numbers, any idea?

Aha! I have misinterpreted the value of JAG. Mia culpa.
That said, doesn't that mean that the 98 (EXC F45, JAG, VD1) 12163196 would fit the bill?
