I don't know about on an A4, but on the Z06's are getting 10 - 14 additional RWHP with those mods and Dyno Tuning.......well worth the money IMHO.....I'll be doing it in the near future (as soon as I get my headers on) :D
There is at least 10 hp hiding in just about every stock program there is. GM has a very generic conservitive program they put in the cars. They do not know where in the country the car will be run. The car could end up in Denver or Texas so they have to make it pretty conservative. With that being said most every car I have looked at can be leaned out a bit and sometimes run more timing in certain places of the powerband. You have to ask yourself is 10hp worth 400 to 500 bucks. :seeya :seeya

:iagree: This is something I want to do down the line also.
With LS1-Edit I picked up 12rwhp on an A4 coupe with similar mods as yours...but additional benefit was getting shift points and firmness adjusted, rev limiter raised, fans adjusted etc.
With my mods, before the x-pipe and stingers, I picked up 15 RWHP and 20 RWTQ by having the WOT leaned out. Not bad for $250.00. Shop around, you probably don't need a "full" tune at this time.
When you dyno'd the car did you have an A/F test also? If so, you can see if dyno tuning will be worth it.
first, with the addition of headers, intake and exhaust. . .you will probably start running richer after you PCM automatically adjusts. This will result in lost power. I bet 10-15 rwhp/tq.
If your AFR's are out of whack like mine are a dyno-tune could add more than 15 RWHP. When I did a wide-band dyno last year my AFR's were so bad (down to 10.9:1) the tech said I was probably losing 15 to 20 RWHP, I dyno'd in at 292. Sure enough as other cars from my club tested I saw several other cars (where their AFR's were in the mid 12's and similar mods) pull over 312 and two ripped off over 320. So I figure I'm down over 20 HP. I found a local tuner and am booking a dyno day for my club and he's charging $200 per car for a wide-band LS1 Edit dyno tune with as many pulls as necessary. In my opinion a dyno tune is a MUST if your going to spend any money on mods.
$200 for 20 HP dyno tune or $1600 for headers and probably not 20 HP.
