Default aircon fired!!!

Hello, I recently bought a Corvette C5, and I'm having trouble with the air conditioning. First of all, there's no airflow at all. There are no blown fuses in the fuse box. When I press the button, the light goes off and blinks. I've attached a video. What could be causing this?

When the air conditioning light turns on and blinks and then turns off means there is low pressure on the compressor. You will most likely need to take your car to a shop and have them diagnose and repair the ac system.

Is your blower motor running? If so, do you have air flow from the defroster ducts?

Thanks, I'll try adding refrigerant too. But before that, I'm having trouble getting air to come out. The only fuse seems to be in the engine compartment.

No, no air comes out of the ducts.

There is a relay in the engine fuse box for the fan motor, there is a motor control module mounted on the housing where the blower motor is located, and lastly the motor may have failed. Any failure of this components will result in no air flow.

There was some progress. It turns out the blower motor fuse was bad after all. The next thing I noticed was that the air outlet wouldn't switch even when I switched modes. It seems the air mix motor is dead. Also, the light goes out immediately when I turn on the air conditioner. I was advised that there was no gas in the unit, so I measured it. I've attached a picture.

Both gauges are essentially showing the same pressure which means low or almost no freon in the system. The air not blowing out when selecting the different modes is probably a lack of vacuum to the hvac module, there is no air mix motor, there are two blend door actuators which control air temperature.

I’ve heard that replacing the blend motor is difficult. Should I check the vacuum system first?

Yes , the hose run to the back of the manifold. The hose is small maybe 1/8 inch. So i would start in the back of the manifold and work your way to the cabin. I think its in the wire harness if i remember correctly. Yes its there on the back. Its very hard to see, you might have to get a mirror to verify that its connected.
I had a similar issue, what i did was find the hose in a workable area cut the hose and find another score of vacuum and check if the door moves. If not you have to keep following the hose tell you find the crack or it separated somewhere. Google the route of the hose. Or if you can reach the hose on back of the manifold without taking off the manifold, so if you don't want to cut the hose.

I removed this part today and tested it, and everything seemed to turn on and off without any problems. I also looked around and saw that the black hose seemed to be extending into the engine compartment. The others were going to the blower motor side. I couldn't trace it from there.

There are multiple threads which describe diagnosing the vacuum mode switching for the HVAC system. Here is one of them:
