Default 97 corvette engine upgrades

Hi, I'm new to the corvette forums. I currently have a 97 c5 with a blower on it. I'm looking to install some 225cc heads and a btr stage 2 cam. as well as a fast intake and other supporting mods. I was hoping someone could give me some advise as this is my first c5 build and since my vette is already super charged. I'm worried about my stock lower end giving out with these uprgrades.

If the bottom end hasn't failed after the supercharger, I doubt that the planned upgrades would cause a problem.

Well, yeah there’s probably a limit, lol. What level of hp are you shooting for?

And why aren’t you choosing a blower cam?

Not mandatory, but I would get rid of the Atari 2600 PCM that the 97 and 98s have.

Can you just switch it out for a newer one? Seems like it might be a chore.

I've heard that a blower cam isn't really necessary and also I have seen some good thinks about the btr stage 2.

Can i just change the PCM to a newer model vette PCM or do I have to re-pin my old one?

A blown engine will run on a na cam, but a blower cam optimizes a blown engine with valve timing. It’s good practice to call a few cam companies and pick their brains on your performance plan. BTR has some popular cams, but don’t overlook state of the art cam companies like Isky, Cam Motion, Comp Cams, Bullet, Crower. The techs at these companies love to talk shop, plus they make their own cams and can make a custom cam for you.
