Slave Cylinder Quick Connect Damaged??
About 6 months ago, I blew up the transmission and rear diff. It’s been a long process, but I finally got a new trans and diff and replaced everything in my garage over the past few months. While I was in there, I also replaced a bunch of maintenance items, including the clutch and a torque tube rebuild.
I went for the maiden voyage yesterday and barely made it out of the driveway. As soon as I pushed the clutch in, I heard a pop, and then I had no clutch.I found the issue, but I’m not really sure how to fix it. It looks like the clutch line “quick connect” failed. I can’t tell if the internals are destroyed or if there’s a way to repair it.
If it is destroyed, it looks like I may have to remove the whole rear of the car again since I think that connection is built into the slave cylinder.
Has anybody dealt with this before? Is there a repair option, or am I pulling the rear back apart?
