What is this white wire ??

I’m trying to change my multifunction switch and when I go to take out the harness I cannot because of this. The white wire is connecting to a wire on the harness. When I pull the white wire it seems to go to somewhere by the trunk release

I should also state that the people I bought the car from had an eq and sound system in here before I bought it. There’s a red wire going directly into a fuse in my passenger fuse box

I think it was from my viper alarm I had installed. Idk but I’ll see if the car starts today or not lol
