I'm thinking of getting the GM Hotcam that is on sale from GMpartsdirect.com. Does anyone know if its a radical cam? What kind of power gains would I get with my setup below through stock heads. Is it worth getting? Are there any thing else I would need besides the included LS6 springs? Sorry, I'm new to this cam stuff :blueangel:
Can't go wrong with factory engineered parts. It sounds good and lopey for a small cam. There is always more power with custom profiles etc. I have a 224 single profile and love the midrange pull of it. Another buddy is running a sleeper setup with a 02 Z06 cam and making great power. The price is right and tuners know the program well.
Another question you might want to ask is whether or not your car will pass smog. Don't forget you are living in the most F@#ked up state when it comes to smog laws. :banghead:

Andy Green of A&A Corvettes went with a radical set up in his 97 and passed!
We are not allowed to mention specific tuners :boxing Not sure about cheaper because most cams are 400 bucks or more plus a set of springs :skep: I think lobe seperation is key on emissions like a 114 or better. I would stay under 226 duration. Ask Andy he knows CA better than I.
