Cd player not working
Just bought a 2002 vette with the 12 cd changer. Can't get it to play. Course I don't know how. So I've got it loaded "upside down" in trunk. You can hear it loading but inside with key on I get power to radio but ERR signal when I insert another cd in dash. I can't get the cd light to go up to the section that selects the # of cd u want to play. If that makes any sense. Seems like the trouble is in the cd switch which is right beside the am/fm switch. Any ideas ? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Did you remove the changer cartridge and try the dash CD alone? Seems to me when it reads error, there's something wrong with either the disc itself, or one of the two loading mechanisms. Try the dash with the changer empty and vice-versa.,

Yes I tried it with changer empty and another disc in dash. Still same thing, error message. Cd light on bottom of screen flashes like it should as cds' are loading then steady. At that point the cd should play and the screen lights up at the top so you can select cd. The switch cd/auxiliary does nothing.
