Default 1999 C5 - Two loose wires - ambient temp sensor missing

I’m working on my 1999 Corvette C5 and I lost the ambient air temperature sensor (outside temp). I’ve searched everywhere, read multiple threads, watched videos, and I really cannot find it in the place where it should be. There are also no wires, no connector, and no harness visible in the expected location.

Problen is that every time it's raining, the temperature gets really low and AC is not working. Windshields are fogging up...

Here’s a photo from the passenger side (right side), under the front headlight area, right near the FIAMM horn:

There are two wires on the left side of the picture (black and green) that look disconnected or loose. They are sitting right in that area.

Questions:

1. Does anyone recognize what these two wires are for?

2. Could these be the connector for the ambient temperature sensor?

3. If not, what else are they likely for?

I know the outside temp sensor on C5s is usually on the passenger side near the radiator support or in the airflow channel at the front. This view seems to match the typical location, but as I said — the sensor, its connector and harness are completely gone from there.

Any help identifying these wires or confirming the correct sensor location would be greatly appreciated. I can take more photos (closer shots of the connectors or different angles) if needed.

Thanks in advance!

Pro tip....when you are asking for help identifying wires....clean the wires so we can clearly see what the primary and stripe color are, take close pictures, etc. At first glance, that appears to be a light green and black wire.............but......if they are light green/black stripe and gray/black stripe....they are most likely for the ambient outside temp sensor connector that was ripped off.
Also helps if you zoom out to show the whole area. The location where the temp sensor should be is out of view.
