I see a lot of catalog ads with differential exchanges for 3.73 or 4.10's. I was wondering why this is so prevalent? Is it possible to crack open a differential and just changew the ring and pinion?
ThX!
I believe this to be true only for manual Vettes......I know the 2.73's (automatic) carrier cannot hold that size gear and suspect the 3.15's dont either.

2.73's are the only carrier that cannot be upgraded. 3.15's can be built with any ratio. :seeya
