I was just looking around for S&G's to see how much DR's cost and ran into this Nitto NT 555R Drag Radial 305/45R-18 110V B. I thought Nitto wouldn't be coming out with their 18" DR until this summer. Does anybody know what kind of mileage DR's usually provide...on average...I know it depends on how often you race and how hard you drive them...but compared to regular street tires...about half the life of regular street tires...more?
Re: How long has this 18" DR been out? (blackroadster)
Let me ask you this...can you run street tires front and back then switch out the rears with DR's for the track...and still run street tires on the front???

Will the stock front rims fit on the back then? Or would I have to get some other size of rim? wallstal what size of DR do you have on those rims...I think it would be better for me to run the kind of setup you have instead of driving around on DR's all the time...thanks.
My wheels are 17X11 with BFG 315x35x17 drag radial on them. Your front 17's should fit on the rear, but I would go with a smaller width in drag radial. I don't recall the exact size, check tire rack.
I am considering these also. I just bought a full set of 98 wheels and was trying to decide if I should run 17"s or 18"s. I have run the Nitto 17's on the 88 and have been happy with them. I am afraid that the 18 won't have enough sidewall to flex and bite. Is anyone running them?
