Vibrating/loose rear view mirror
I'm finally going to start cutting down on all the interior noise in the cockpit of this car. I've gone around and narrowed down the points that make the most noise over bumps, and fixes include dynamat (or similar and cheaper material), 2 new front tires (replaced rears already), bilstein shocks, and whatever else needs some tightening etc. One major annoyance is this rearview mirror. It rattles and actually moves over large bumps making lots of noise. It is not actually at the connection of the mirror to the windshield, but at the ball joint where it is very loose. It can be tapped and moved with no force at all. Anyone have a quick fix till I move to an electrochromatic mirror later on? Thanks in advance :smash:

Are you certain that its not at the windshield mount? There is a set screw there that can tighten up a loose mirror. If actually is in the ball mount you will not be able to fix it. I have only seen ball mounts fail on the outside mirrors on old C3 Corvettes. Then the mirror just flips down under its own weight.
