Try your question over on LS1Tech.com quite a few F body guys run ported throttle bodies. From what I have heard you will not gain much power with a ported throttle body, but you will gain better throttle response.

I have the S2 unit on my head/cammed '98. While I haven't dnyo'd it since, my seat of the pants meter says it's more throttle responsive. Looking at both the stock and S2 unit side/side tells you the work that's been done. The finished product looks like jewelry. While some have reported problems with service from Shaner, my experience was great.
