As long as it doen't cost a bloody fortune. Tge Vararam is a nice product, but it's just to bloody expensive. Seriously- $600+ for a piece of plastic?

Were are you shopping? The VR is 399, not 600.

John,

Yes, we'd all like to see an intake outperform the cold air kits out there like the Vortex and VR at the track. With the performance increase of those two, anything better would be a stunner. Good luck.:)

If it is priced in the Rammer/Blackwing range, provides better performance (HP & Torque) and can be installed within one hour; then it is a no brainer that I would switch my new customers for sure and offer to existing customers. If it doesn't fall into this criteria, then I need more info to make an intelegent decission.

Please keep me posted as more info becomes available.

Thanks

How are you going to test a ram air system on a dyno?
it's been proven time and time again... there is no "ram air" effect unless you go over 200mph. PERIOD!

that would perform better than the other players in the market?

only if independant testing proved its superiority. Too many claims of increased power are unsubstantiated as it is. What good would be yet another intake system making claims be?

No such thing as "ram" compressing air at normal speeds. Do a search, one of the forum's physicist did a good right up on the dynamics of liquids.

Would anyone be interested in a new COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEM
that would perform better than the other players in the market?
ie: Vararam, BPP Vortex Rammer, Halltech Tric, Blackwing, Tri Flow, etc.....
If it were enough improvement would you replace your present system?

Thanks for the input!

John, If anyone comes out with anything "better" it will sell, if people would switch is the correct question. Proving it to the fourm members is not so easy, Personal performance gains are questioned and beaten to death. If any "simple" relatively inexpencive mod would give me quicker times at the track I would go for it.*depending on the trade off's that usuely come with mod's. So even if you come up with the best cold air system; it will take more to convince some/most/me it's superior to what's available now. Ric

I'm lowering my radiator and running an airbridge directly to the blower, I would love to have something to run to the air bridge, I have hydo'd a motor in a deep puddle during a downpour and would not be interested in a bottom feeder however, we need to keep the intake as far from the ground as possible.

I have a Vararam on my 02 vert now and always worry about sucking up rain water. Yeah, Yeah I know it can't happen.(Yeah right). I would be interested in something new that eliminates my fear of water. If you would take a used Vararam on trade I would really be interested. ;)
