Default MEMORY PACKAGE

I HAVE A 2000 HARDTOP. IS IT POSSIBLE TO INSTALL THE MEMORY PACKAGE TO THIS VEHICLE THAT DID NOT ORIGINALLY COME WITH IT?

THANKS.

Default Re: MEMORY PACKAGE (NIVLAG)

You probably could, but it would be expensive. First the Door Control Modules control the mirrors, the seat control module controls the driver's seat, and the BCM supplies the wake up signals for easy exit/entry.
The BCM will either have to be reprogrammed or replaced to recognize and supply the information for memory functions.
The door control modules may also have to be replaced to perform memory functions on the mirrors. Not sure if there are two distinct modules; one for non-memory package, one for memory package (one for each door).
The LH driver's seat module may have to be replaced, again, not sure if there are two distinct modules; one for non-memory package, one for memory package.
Also the seat motors may have to be replaced due to built in sensors that determine the memory location. Then you have the associated wiring that most likely requires replacing.
This does not take into account the A/C and Radio memory functions, or the telescoping steering column.
