If you have intake or engine mods, it can be a good idea. The car comes a little rich (58 psi stock) from the factory.
99 and up have the pressure regulator in the fuel tank.

nice vette, this is probably another dumb statement but the fuel pressure regulator (in ecklers) looks like it replaces the one on the passenger sides fuel rail....does that make any sense to you?

It does on 97-98. 99+ the FPR is in the fuel filter, that's why it's so much $!
the regulator that you are talking about is only for the 97/98's. You dont want to install it on the 99 and above Cars. Nothing is to be gained by it at all.

I thought about it on my 97. The only reason I didn't is I was afraid with out a wide band 02 sensor, you could easily go too lean. That can cause damage, burned valves etc. I opted for a WOT tune which accompolished the same thing, abet at a higher cost.
