are pressor sensures required on the wheels? considering going to a set of aftermarket rims and wondered if sensors are needed to function properly. will any codes be thrown or any annoying messages keep popping up if i chose to go without them?
If you go without them, you will get error messages on the DIC every time you start it. It won't affect anything else, many people do this and are content with resetting it upon startup.
There is a way to program out the sensors to avoid this problem, butyou will need a tech-2 programmer or know of a place that does.
Some aftermarket wheels will accept the sensors too. If not, you can always cut the stems off the sensors, and epoxy and band clamp them to the inside of the wheel. This is what I'm doing when my iforged wheels arrive.
