Can the computer program on my Z06 be changed and if so will it be of any benefit with the car being completly stock,or if I change fuel injector size or exhaust?
Re: can the computer program be changed? (MTWallet)
in the past and in a lot of other cars, buying a performance "chip" was what yo did to get a little more out of your car.
The C5 does not have a "chip" the PCM is a sophisticated computer that I'm told has 9 processors. If you want to change something you have to have software that can reprogram your PCM.
LS1 edit or Preditor are 2 examples. This is where motor head meets rocket scientist though. You have to be both to do is well. Of course you can pay to have it done also.
You don't have to worry about re-programming unless you change the cam though. Although, there are a lot of advantages to being able to contol redline, fan temps, timing, fuel curve, etc., etc.
IMHO there is no reason to change the fuel injectors unless you stroke the heck out of the engine.

Changing injectors on a stock motor would be a waste of your time and money. There have been (reported) gains of 15- 25 hp with bolt ons (air intakes etc.) and LS1 Edit on Z06s.
