from all the help i recieved on the forum and a little complaining from my wife, i ordered the flp long tube exhaust package. from looking around abit i noticed there are alot of exhausts out there, which ones will give the most performance gain, i know they are mainly for sound and looks but there has to be a few that out perform most. :flag
From what I've gathered on the forum the time I've been here is that the gain is very minimal what ever aftermarket system you chose. Thats why you should just chose the one that sounds the best to you. :seeya

Well I can see why people would say go for sound, but I disagree to some extent. Most of these exhaust give at the most 5 to 7 rwhp with a basically stock car, however if you are going for mods like h/c etc and maybe even FI down the line I can tell you that the day I put the blower on my car we dyno'd raised the car took off the corsa's hooked up the GHL's and got 18 more rwhp and torque and these two dyno's within half an hour of each other, we tried a GHL on a stock c5 and got in the 5 to 7 range which is probably as high as any but the GHL was made for modded cars and more performance mods you do the more the system will grow with you, bonus is they have a great throaty muscle car sound and they are no more expensive than most of the others, mine were prototypes but I think they are in the 1000 range and have several tip designs to choose from---Bill
I'll start over - When I put on my Corsa Indys, I did it strictly for appearance and sound. After dyno however, I found that I turned 329 RWHP, ten more hp than my baseline with only simple intake mods. Morale of this story is that perhaps HP is available through exhaust mods.
More importantly, mdutton01 is asking about FLP long tubes, not just a simple Corsa or Borla install. I have a friend that acheived almost 350 RWHP after a FLP long tube install alomg with exhaust and intake mods as well as (and this is important) an LS1 edit after the headers.
