Default Ride Height Adjustments

Since the ride height is adjustable on the Corvette, are the height settings checked and adjusted during an alignment?

If not, how does Chevy check the ride height settings when they replace suspension parts?

I'm looking for techincal answers. Hence, the tech section.

Thanks

Slopoke,
Alignment techs never check the ride height, at least none I have seen. That is why alignment settings are within a range to allow for slight changes.
Replacing suspension parts usually does not affect the ride height much. If it does, the height should remain within factory tolerances.
I am sure GM has addressed this issue.
I always record the ride height measurements when I get a new vette. That way after lowering the car I know what the difference should be side to side.

Can you describe exactly how you take the measurements?

I'm just looking for some references.

Thanks

It seems that most people take their measurements from the ground to the fender lip at each corner.
I measure from the top of the wheel to the fender lip.
Just be consistent; same location, tire pressure, fuel in the tank, etc.
Remember; this is only for comparison and is not the actual factory ride heights (trim heights).
