Being the non-mechanical type I overheard one of our mechanics talking about how this guy had not changed his air filter on his BMW in over 2yrs. Which made me think, when did I get my Vortex, well it was about 2 years ago over at Corvette SS's house. Guess what I still have not changed the filter out. So my question is how much power am I losing because of this and how do I change the filter or do I just clean it and how?
Thnx,
Kenneth :banghead:
If you got the BPP Vortex then you have a K&N style filter....which is resuable. All you have to do is buy the K&N filter cleaner/recharge kit (available at most autoparts stores for about $10), follow the instruction in the kit and you're set.
It has been a while. How many cars have you gone through since we put in my ripper and vortex. You are doing a great job keeping the SS tradition alive. I actually went from Hotel GM to BMW sales person, Married to single, and Lake Jackson to Clear Lake in that short period of time. Things change fast at least so far it has been for the better.
