Default Just received TPIS LT headers

Question is:
Do I have to install that butt ugly H pipe?
Is the H pipe required for proper operation of the headers?
The cats have already been removed with sections of stainless steel and I retained the factory H pipe.... :seeya

Not too many people will be under the car, so I would not worry to much about the look.

You do not have to install it, but you will have to find another way to connect the headers to the rest of the exhaust (you will need flanges of some sort). That H-Pipe functions as a slip fit connector. Many repairs require the headers to be removed so it would not be smart to just weld it all together.

I just got mine too. Did you have any dings or scratches on yours? I have a 1/2" ding (not too deep) on the side of my pipe. I seriously doubt that it will affect performance but just curious if this is a factory defect common to many...

Thanks

Can't really answer your question but those are the same LT headers I have decided on. :yesnod:
I will watch for your review after install. Also, do you plan on doing the install yourself?

Got mine a month ago. They perform as specified. I had them installed. The install price (vs. my potential aches and pains) was still below my pocketbook threshold.

Going to the track this weekend to see what gains I got. Traction will definitely be a problem this time, even with the BFG DR’s. Weather should be cool, dry and sunny.

I had that ding too, not worried about it though, not going to be seen and I highly doubt it affects performance at all. It did not change the circumference on the inside of the pipe in my case.
